I have over forty years of experience as a health consultant, educator, and international health planner. My Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), coupled with my local and international work, provides me with a unique skillset and profound knowledge of population health and healthcare systems.
For the past four years, I have had the pleasure of working with prospective medical school applicants who were initially unsuccessful in their application and/or interview process. I help edit application essays to bring out the best examples from each student’s experience, in addition to designing specific MMI stations. One particular strength is my ability to help applicants highlight their salient characteristics and unique experiences, allowing them to stand out on paper and in interview settings.
We are privileged to have Senior Editor James Boxshall, who holds a double Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of St Andrews in Scotland, as part of Clinical Edge, helping ensure essay submissions are flawless.

What is the average time commitment for Clinical Edge Med Prep for maximum chance of medical school acceptance/success?
This depends on how much coaching you need. If you would like help with the essay portion, usually an hour per university admission per essay is required but this may be more. For the MMI portions, I run 90-minute sessions with 30 minutes of detailed feedback and/or additional support documents. Students usually like one or two MMI sessions per university application (as the focus of the MMIs differ depending on which school you are applying for). There is no prior time commitment here, so you can start the process and we can gauge the time required.
Can I simply submit essays for help or do I have to also take part in the interview process?
You may submit essays only for help with the editing process. I help to draw out the unique aspects of your experience and skills after a detailed personal interview.
If I gain acceptance to a medical school interview, can I just take part in the interview process?
Once you have successfully completed the essays and application process and are schedule for an interview, you can then only take part in the MMI and panel interview process as needed.
What is the average cost?
The cost varies depending on how much help you require and how many universities you are applying to. If you would like to benefit from the essay and interview support- this would be an average of 8 to 12 hours.
Which university medical schools have you had the most success with?
I have worked with students successful in applications in Canada to: University of British Columbia, University of Calgary, University of Alberta, University of Winnipeg, University of Simon Fraser. In the UK, students have been successful with King’s College, London, and Leeds Universities.
Which university medical schools do you cater towards?
I am happy to help students with applications to universities within Canada and the United Kingdom. If unsure, please check with me.
